Coach Portle has lived in Arizona since 2014.  She was the nurse at Mountain Pointe for 4 years and currently works for Tempe Union School District, supporting the physical and mental health of TUHSD students. She has a BS in nursing, and MEd in School Health Services, and is working on her PhD In Nursing and Healthcare Innovation from ASU.  Portle cheered throughout middle and high school, and coached Mountain Pointe Cheer for two seasons. She took some time off to be with her family and returned to coaching last season.  Portle cannot wait to start another great year!

Coach Brynsaas has been doing cheer competitively since she was 5 years old and did it for a total of 14 years! She graduated from Mountain Pointe High School, was also a part of the cheer team all four years, and became captain her senior year! Coach Brynsaas'  favorite hobbies are reading, photography, and cosmetology. She is hoping to become a professional photographer in the future! 

Coach Baca is a New Mexico native, with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Mexico as well as Grand Canyon University.  She is currently working on her Master's Degree in School Counseling. She has worked in the Tempe Union District for 6 years as the Academics Assistant at Mountain Pointe High School. With over 12 years of dance experience, she has both competed in and judged competitive dance competitions around the United States. She has also choreographed for local studios' competition teams. When she is not coaching, she enjoys photography, hiking, and spending time with my golden doodle Zia!
