Welcome to the Caspari Research Group!
Research Overview
Teaching and learning chemistry and other sciences are inherently social processes. A sociocultural perspective on teaching and learning is thus grounded on the assumption that students’ and instructors’ ways of chemical thinking and doing are shaped by social interactions and culture. The Caspari group’s research focuses on the intersection between social and disciplinary aspects of teaching and learning chemistry, and STEM more broadly, seeking to understand avenues towards deep, complex, and holistic education.
