Every moment there are millions of atoms, thoughts, and emotions around me combining in complex structures and innovative new ways. I love to be part of this growth and I constantly strive for improvement!

Humans are incredibly complex and wonderful social beings. We bring rich histories with us to new experiences and it's important to me that these insights are leveraged and valued in the classroom. I'm passionate about researching these systems to learn more about how to cultivate equitable teaching and learning in general and organic chemistry.
Graduate Student (PhD)
With the expansion of scientific knowledge comes the expansion of opportunities for everyone to grow into it. With more diversity entering the wonderful world of Chemistry, my goal is to study and ensure equitable learning environments are being created and sustained with the hope that classrooms and labs continuously evolve and uplift all past, present, and future learners.
Graduate Student (PhD)
Everyone brings strengths when it comes to learning and they don't always have to be things that are academic and practical. Understanding what each perspective brings to the table is just another opportunity to learn more. I'm passionate to see and learn more about how these perspectives uplift but also intersect with organic chemistry reasoning.
Graduate Student (Masters)
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”— Nelson Mandela. The true power of education is your responsibility; what you choose to do with it can ignite transformation, both within yourself and the world around you.
Undergraduate Student
Each student brings unique social and cultural characteristics to their learning experiences. As educators and education researchers, we have the opportunity to empower all students to embrace their sociocultural identities and take agency in their learning – leading to meaningful, deep, and complex educational experiences.
Undergraduate Student
As a chemistry student, I'm constantly learning something new. My university experiences have shown me the variety of ways in which learning can take place and how instructors can shape the learning that goes on in their classrooms. I'm motivated to do education research in order to understand the people behind the STEM classes and how we can change the way chemistry and other sciences are taught to be better suited for everyone.
