Vermont Updates part of their Minor League Team Uni's

Vermont, Revealed a new look for 2 of thier minor league teams today at thier Spring pres-conference . Their old uniforms just looked like generic shit and they felt they should re-vamp them as they failed to do so when the main ball club changed their name and got new uni's so today's announcement comes of no real shock as it was just a matter of time. The club still has to do something about thier rookie club as thier logo is generic and uni's just are not up to par. The club plans to revamp their rookie team but it just takes times to develop a good look.

The Road to 1st Overall

It all started back in 2060 at the trade deadline when I traded my top and POTD top tier Starting Pitcher Tomas Gonzalez to the Jail Break . The Pitcher had be top flight pitcher for me and he is now for the Jail Break.

C Jim Peterson (A)

Vermont Sends:

After that trade I decided that i wanted to move my MR Davis to GBI and it netted me GBI 3 & 5 rd picks . we were trying to retool a bit with the trade of my SP .

With off-season on going i decided to make a play for the second overall pick . and it was new worthy trade as I sent

1B Donald Hawkins (R)

2B/IF/LF/RF Bruce Anderson (R)

CF luis Andrade (R)

1B Nick Cox (ML)

Jail Break 1st rd pick

Vermont 3rd rd rd pick

GBI (in vault) 3rd rd pick

To : for

OF Jorge Guzman (ML)

SS Harvey Gregg (AAA)

SP Fred Criag (ML)

The trade took multiple trades to make this on happen that is for sure.

The I was dead set on Picking first so i went for it and made a deal

5th rd pick #22nd in that rd

6th rd pick #23 in that rd

OF Alex McCoy (AAA)

to BOSTON For

1st Rd Pick Fist Overall

This Trade took some talks as just to go up 1 draft spot is not easy to do when u atop the draft board but we finally settled on this deal. Even then i had 2 players i wanted I tried to trade up from 9 to get the 2nd overall but the gm didnt want to he was satisfied getting the 3B so i sat and watched and making other trades and after I made a trade for a old rental SP me and Boston just got to talking about the league and stuff and i was like yea i couldnt pick between the players so i tried to trade up to 2 so i didnt have to choose and the "Then GM" told me he was happen were he was so i just was like ok and moved one . and while talking to the "New Boston GM" he was like "I would listen to offers for the 3B if your interested " , so I was like sure ill put a offer together. My first offer wasn't exactly what he was looking for but his counter he post was his finial counter so i looked at it and decided to take it .

Vermont Sends

LF Joe Gray (POTD)- Lifetime .322 and last 6 yrs over a .300 avg and last 4 completed seasons was over OPS was over 1.0

2B Kuei-lin Chia (AAA)

RP Pedro Gonzáles (AAA)

SP Sid Jackson (AA) - 2058 1st rd pick

SUP RD Pick # 10 in the rd - 35th Overall

to Boston for

1st rd pick #2 Overall ( 3B Mario Amézaga )

Only time will tell how Mario does but hes heralded as the next coming of Retired 1B Robert Welsh . Who in his-day was king , he holds a life time .310 avg 594 HRs. This guy was a absolute Beast hitting the ball . Im not sure Mario can top hit but hes on the right team to try and with a good supporting cast maybe he will be able to thrive and ring .

Off-season has started 6062 will be here soon!!!

Vermont has some decisions to make , We have money so we can sign fa's but lets be honest we need to use trades and draft before we go deep into the FA as no reason to be wasting on fa's if our team isn't able to win more games this yr and get close to making the playoffs .

I feel that we have the talent to compete but we are a year or two off from them being developed enough to really help . we need a steady rotation and ours is not there .

I do think that we are getting there and will get there it will just take some time. We have to ensure we develop talent at key positions so that we can use the FA or trades to help fill the other positions . At this point i think we are good in the IF and OF . if we move Baker then that would drastically shift the of balance and while we do have a capable backup in Davis who hit over .300 this yr while starting in place of our injured CF , We were prepared for a opening in the of and went out and acquired 23 yr old Ray Fletcher who plays LF/RF/1B/CF and while his talent level is not even close to bakers the realistic optics here suggests that you can trade a top talent and replace it with top talent most the time. Here we will be using Ray as a stop gap with potenical to be a cord piece of the puzzle. But being me if i trade baker i would be looking for that next top player to bring in.

This off-season will be able teams trying to decide what they want or need to do in order to right the shit or how they can get to the playoffs with what they have vs what they can do with trades and fa's. Time will tell how the season will turn out to be .
