Family Support during Hybrid and Remote Instruction

As we navigate these difficult times, our families need support as well. We will continue to add resources to this page as we find ones of value to share with our community.

Curated and coordinated by the experts at Common Sense, Wide Open School is the result of a collaboration among leading publishers, nonprofits, and education and technology companies. Wide Open School features a free collection of the best learning experiences and activities for kids, organized by grade band and subject.

The LHRIC has partnered with Districts to provide support to students on district owned devices while remote learning is occurring.

Support is available from 7:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Please have a parent fill out the form to request assistance and provide us with the information needed for our technician to work with you on the issue. The technician will use the Parent/Guardian's email to communicate and in some cases may need to call to schedule a support session.

Rethink Ed provides a variety of resources for caregivers to use that support their children's well-being as well as their own. These resources include help with managing behavior and building independence, providing structure and routine, and keeping learning interesting and fun in the home environment.

The Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They have created this site to help families during the COVID-19 crisis.

The National Association of School Psychologists has created a list of resources to help children cope with changes resulting from COVID-19.
