Since I (Nick Miller) was a Freshman at North Tahoe High School, I had been playing chess with my friends or on my own time. The joy of playing a game of creativity, pattern recognition, risks, etc. has always peaked my interest. That is why, in my Sophomore year of High School, I founded the Chess Club so that there would be a place for all current and aspiring chess enthusiasts to meet and play and discuss this game for which has lasted for hundreds of generations.
