The Tualatin Rotary First Generation Scholarship is a $20,000 scholarship/mentorship for Juniors
Due April 17th
The Tualatin Rotary sponsors this scholarship for first generation college students who are high achieving and can demonstrate a financial need. In addition to receiving the financial support, the Rotary provides a mentor tosupport the student through college.

3/1 Hillsboro Hops Dream Big Scholarship $2,000
Dream Big Scholarship: This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a first generation college student from the Portland Metro/SW Washington area.
3/1 Richard G. Zimmerman Scholarship $5,000
To be eligible, applicants must: be a high school senior planning to attend college this year, have a 3.0 grade-point average or higher, and plan to pursue a career in journalism. The application consists of a short pitch, a 500 word essay, a description of your financial need, three work samples, and three letters of recommendation.
3/1 Oregon ACTE Scholarship $1,000
This scholarship is open to HS seniors or students already enrolled in a trade or CTE related program. This includes Apprenticeship programs, community college CTE programs, certification programs, trade schools (culinary school, cosmetology, etc.)
3/1 USDA 1890 National Scholars Program
Full tuition, room and board awarded for admissions to 19 historically black colleges. Students must be studying agriculture, food sciences, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines. Must commit to at least one year of service to USDA.
3/1 Pacific University - Dance Scholarship
The Talent Scholarships in Dance are intended to help support distinguished dance students who plan to pursue a Dance Major or Dance Minor. Submit application package electronically at least two weeks before your audition.
3/1 C. E. Boucher Memorial Scholarship $2,500
At least eight C.E. Boucher scholarships will be awarded. Achievement counts for 10% of the scholarship selection criteria. Leadership and community service are key criteria. Enroll in the school of Engineering at the University of Washington, Washington State University, University of Oregon or Oregon State University.
3/1 Guy Davis & Past Presidents' Scholarships $1,500
Children, grandchildren and other qualifying relatives of OSEA and ROSE members to pursue their education beyond high school.
3/1 Pacific University - Music Scholarship
Requires an in person audition
3/1 Project Yellow Light - Billboard
Create a video ad, a radio spot, or a design for a billboard ad to encourage safe driving.
The selection criteria is: demonstrated financial need, high school athletic participation, strong character and leadership involvement in their school, and FAFSA information. One Tualatin High student will be awarded a scholarship.
3/1 AFSA Essay Contest $2,500
Essay contest, between 1,000 and 1,500 words., 2026 prompt: make a case for one of two positions: either explain how the United States can maintain global leadership without these tools, or argue that it cannot—and why.
3/2 Embark’s Diversity in Leadership Scholarship (OCF)
For underrepresented and diverse Oregon residents pursuing their first year of enrollment at an institution of higher education in Oregon.
3/2 Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) $1,000
Five scholarships for students planning to attend an Oregon college, two scholarships are for any student, one is for a Latino student and two are for women entering the field of education. Applicants must be active in community and school activities, and obtain a letter of recommendation from a school administrator.
3/2 Dr. Ernest Hartzog Founder’s Scholarship (OCF)
For Black/African American graduates or graduating seniors of a high school in Oregon. Preference is given to students passionate about giving back to their community and uplifting the next generation.
3/2 Institute for Cultural Initiatives Scholarship (OCF)
For bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Latino students pursuing education at Oregon community colleges.
3/2 "St. Andrew's Society Scholarship (OCF)
For graduating seniors in Oregon or Clark County, WA. Applicants must (a) be born in Scotland, (b) have a parent or grandparent who was born in Scotland, or (c) have demonstrated a significant commitment to Scottish dancing, piping, drumming, Celtic harp or Highland fiddle.
3/2 Citizens Bank Scholarship $1,000
Watch video, contact local Tualatin branch for a phone or online meeting, then write a 1-3 page essay.
3/2 Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators Youth Scholarship $1,000 The Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) awards two $1000 scholarships each year to graduating seniors from Oregon public high schools. The scholarships may be used for a 2- or 4-year college or university, trade or professional/technical school. These two scholarships are for a son, daughter or dependent child of an OASSA member.
3/2 COSA Scholarships $1,000 "The Coalition of Oregon School Administrators awards five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors attending a 2 or 4-year Oregon college/university, trade or professional/technical school. One scholarship awarded to a deserving Latinx/hispanic student. Two scholarships awarded to young women entering the field of education."
3/2 Sussman-Shenker Scholarship
Scholarships for Jewish students from the Portland Metropolitan area toward their higher education. Involvement in the Jewish community. Regional
Provides 90% of unmet college costs of attending college. Considers leadership, volunteer, strong work ethic, and commitment to education. Must attend a college in Oregon or Siskiyou County, CA

High School students in Washington County are invited to apply for a scholarship with the Area One Inside Electrical JATC 4 year apprencticiep program to become a General Journeyman Eleectrician.
This is an incredibly valuable opportunity to skip the points-based traditional ranking process and gain Direct Entry into our apprenticeship program. We will give away one full-ride scholarship per county (see list below). It is renewable all four years of their time with us, pending students maintain a “C” average in their night classes.

Impact NW offers a FREE Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship program open to Oregon residents aged 17- 24 who have a GED or high school diploma and are interested in the Manufacturing trades.

ThinkBIG is a Caterpillar-specific instructional program that pays you while you train to become a technician. Once accepted into this two-year program, you alternate between the classroom and a paid employment at Peterson. When you graduate, you will have an Associate Degree from PCC in Applied Science, over 2000 hours of on the job experience at Peterson, and continue with a full-time job. Wow!

You can now search for WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) schools through SchooLinks - When selecting "College", and "College Search", Unselect "Oregon", select the filter tool "other" and "counselor comments". You'll then be able to see all schools outside of Oregon which offer the WUE Program. What is WUE? This program offers students from Oregon the opportunity to pay In-State tuition and a participating WUE School.

Flooring Assistant - Summer - Phenom Flooring
Phenom Flooring is a small business here in Tualatin. The company has been refinishing gym floors in TTSD school district for 15+ years. In fact, the current gym floors at TuHS are from Phenom Flooring work in 2013. In this job attention to detail is paramount. Students need to have transportation. There is travel on overnight trips so students and their guardians would have to be comfortable with that. Starting wage is $22/hr and employees typically average 30 to 40 hours a week. Check out the JT Giles ELEVATE Program, a pre-licensing agent development program designed to introduce motivated high school seniors to the business side of real estate through structured, hands-on learning.
The program consists of a 90-day supervised mentorship focused on business, marketing, and communication skills. It also provides real-world exposure to professional environments under a licensed principal broker and offers a pathway for students who wish to pursue their Oregon real estate license after graduation, with mentorship and reimbursement support included.
