Digital Citizenship

Goal: Every student will be an informed digital citizen.

Objective: Students will receive digital citizenship instruction, articulated across the K-12 grade span.

Description: The Teaching & Learning Department and Technology Department have collaborated to recommend curriculum for teaching digital citizenship concepts. This instruction, from Common Sense Media and Google, is aligned with the Oregon Library Standards, Common Core Standards, and ISTE Student Standards. Recommended digital citizenship lessons for each grade level are outlined at the links at the top of the page.

Delivery: It is strongly recommended that digital citizenship lessons are taught prior to distributing student devices. Lessons may be retaught throughout the year in conjunction with school-wide expectations. Each building may develop a comprehensive plan for lesson delivery.
