General information for everyone (participants, coaches, spectators) who are coming to our campus to watch the game.
Arrival & Departure
Teams should plan to arrive on Thursday, 1 February 2024 by 5.00pm in time for the Welcome Dinner at 6.30pm in Tanglin Trust School (Berrick Performance Hall). After the conclusion of the tournament, departure from Tanglin Trust School will be after 1.30pm on Sunday, 4 February 2024. Flights should be booked to leave no earlier than 4.00pm.
Facilities
The Girls' and Boys' Basketball tournaments will be held at Tanglin Trust School (Berrick Sports Hall and Smithson Hall).
Security
Coaches will be provided with Security Passes - they should wear these on entrance to the College campus and during the tournament. Teams need to take responsibility for their own valuables. The College has excellent security, but coaches should ensure athletes' valuables are stored away safely.
Access to TTS
Overseas Schools
On Friday, schools will be dropped off at Gate D and make their way to the Berrick Sports Hall. On Saturday and Sunday, schools will come in through Gate A and be dropped off on campus at the Nixon Bus Bay.
Singapore Based Schools
School should arrive to the Main Entrance on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and make their way to the Berrick Sports Hall.
Spectator Information
Entry
Spectators arriving by foot can come in through the Main Entrance (If driving please see parking information below).
Security will stop all visitors for a regular check.
Spectators will need to show the event entry pass upon arrival for campus access. Please circulate to your parent community
Photography without flash is allowed during games.
Parking onsite is not permitted on Fridays. However, parking is accessible on Saturdays and Sundays on a first come , first served basis. In case of limited availability, please consider utilising the alternative options below:
1. The carpark at the Mediacorp building, accessible via Stars Avenue.
2. The carpark at Razer, accessible via One-North Crescent
3. The carpark at the Fusionopolis, accessible via Fusionopolis Place
We have been informed that the grace parking period for the car park at the Mediacorp building has now been extended to 20 minutes. Parents who would like to drop your children off at school might want to make use of this by parking there, and then entering campus through Gate D. We have attached a parking guide so that you are aware of the parking facilities in the vicinity.
Food for Players and Coaches
Tanglin will provide a hot lunch on Friday, 2 February and Saturday, 4 February for all participants, coaches and staff members. Packed lunch will be provided on Sunday by 10.30am if required.
Refreshments & Food for Spectators
The cafe is There will be refreshments throughout the competition for coaches and staff members
Friday: food and drinks available from the Banyan Cafe at Level 7 of the Centenary Building between 7-5.15pm.
Saturday & Sunday: M Cafe located on Level 2 of the 6th Form building is open to buy light breakfast/lunch items food and beverages.
There is also a restaurant called Cafe Melba which is a few minutes' walk away (opposite Gate D) where parents can buy food and beverages. Above Cafe Melba is a food court (EatTalk) which is open on Friday and Saturday from 9am till 6pm.
Medical Treatment
Tanglin will utilise our in-house Physiotherapy providers, Singapore Physio, to attend to players throughout the tournament. Should we need to take an athlete for hospital treatment, we will use National University Hospital (NUH). Visiting schools are requested to ensure that they can provide all necessary contact details and documents for insurance purposes and have the funds to cover expenses incurred.
