This community of practice will explore how standards-based grading shifts focus from score accumulation to learning growth. We'll examine the philosophical foundations of SBG versus traditional numerical systems; collaboratively design assessment frameworks to report upon learner progress; and develop approaches for communicating this paradigm shift to learners and families, ensuring your community understands that a 95 ≠ 4 and why that matters for authentic learning. We will have the opportunity to design, implement, reflect upon, and refine systems over the course of the year.
