TSGW Zoom Standards and Rules

  • Profiles must contain children’s names only. Children will not be allowed entry into a zoom class if they are using a different name (eg: sports team). Aside for allowing accountability, this is a security feature that will screen outside participants not welcome in a meeting.

  • Videos must be left on, allowing the teacher to see the students.

  • The chat will only allow students to communicate with the teacher. All other chatting will be turned off and is not allowed.

  • All participants will be muted except for when a teacher calls on a child.

  • Virtual backgrounds are not allowed during class.

  • Screen sharing will be turned off and is not allowed during class.

  • Any type of misbehavior (e.g. throwing balls up and down, displaying unrelated signs, playing with younger siblings, disruptive behavior) will result in the child’s video being turned off and possibly dismissed from class.

  • Eating is not allowed during class.

  • Adherence to our Tznius guidelines in dress, as written in the handbook, are required for all classes. We recommend that children wear uniform shirts, lending to a “learning setting.”
