Homerooms
Middle School students begin the first six minutes of the school day on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday with their homeroom. This time is intended to be an opportunity for students to start the day on a strong note. Being on time for homeroom each school day is essential. In homeroom, students pray for each other, hear and sometimes lead devotions, and discuss upcoming events. Certain school events during the year—for instance, the annual Turkey Bowl—call upon homerooms to compete as groups, which promotes a common, enjoyable, collaborative experience for students and teachers alike.
Class Placement
Trinity School seeks balance in each class section according to gender, academic ability, and social needs. Using information from the application—and student interviews, where applicable—the Head of Middle School assigns each new student to a class section. Returning students are carefully and thoughtfully placed into homeroom and academic sections with input from the teachers who have worked with the students the preceding year. Each student’s academic, social, and emotional needs are taken into account, with their best interests in mind.
