The 2-day "Transitioning to the Epistles" workshop provides instruction for national translators who have been translating narrative literature (Gospels and Acts) and are now moving to hortatory literature (Epistles).

These video materials were produced by Stephen Payne, a senior Translation Consultant with Seed Company. Steve has been running translation workshops now for 18 years, and has trained new teams of national Bible translators in over 35 languages.

The training is practical rather than theoretical, with many examples and exercises. It uses simple language appropriate for 2nd language speakers of English.

For audiences who don’t know English, the presentations can be translated orally on the spot using the spacebar to pause and restart the videos.

You are free to modify the training videos to fit your local situation (for instance adding additional exercises or local examples). Training videos can be viewed via projector in a workshop setting, or on computers, tablets or even phones for individual viewing.

For those not in a workshop setting, they can easily watch the videos one hour/day and finish all of them in a week.
