Parent Resources

Do you know what your child is doing online?

A number of students at KES have YouTube channels, TikTok channels, Instagram and Snapchat accounts, to name a few. These sites are supposed to be for kids 13 and older. While social media can be fun and entertaining, it can also be a source of bullying if not carefully monitored. It can provide easy access for child predators to find your child, and allow hackers to access your computers and phones to obtain sensitive information.

Dear TSC Families,

Spring is here! May not only brings changes in our weather, but May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a good time to stop and recognize the importance of our own mental health and how it contributes to our overall health, the importance of awareness, reducing stigma and the resources we have available to us as individuals and parents.

The TSC has counselors, student service coordinators and administration who can help connect you with resources if your child or someone in your family needs help. Please also see the resources below:

Case management (Skills Training) services

At Klondike Elementary, we have partnered with Valley Oaks and 4C Health to provide case management (Skills Training) services for those students who may need extra support. The goal of skills training is to stabilize or improve social and behavioral functioning in school, in the community, and at home. Treatment focuses on developing skills in problem-solving, coping, conflict resolution, and parenting. Skills Trainers also educate families and friends on mental health and how to support their loved ones.  If you think your child might benefit from these services, please contact one of us! We can complete a referral form to get the process started.
