Do you know what your child is doing online?
A number of students at KIS have YouTube channels, TikTok channels, Instagram and Snapchat accounts, to name a few. These sites are supposed to be for kids 13 and older. While social media can be fun and entertaining, it can also be a source of bullying if not carefully monitored. It can provide easy access for child predators to find your child, and allow hackers to access your computers and phones to obtain sensitive information.

Case management (Skills Training) services
At Klondike Intermediate School, we have partnered with Valley Oaks to provide case management (Skills Training) services for those students who may need extra support. The goal of skills training is to stabilize or improve social and behavioral functioning in school, in the community, and at home. Treatment focuses on developing skills in problem-solving, coping, conflict resolution, and parenting. Skills Trainers also educate families and friends on mental health and how to support their loved ones. If you think your child might benefit from these services, please contact me! We can complete a referral form to get the process started.
