In this "edcamp" style session, we'll pick several apps as a group to explore. Prepare to collaborate with other K-2 teachers on how and when to use specific apps in your classroom. A make-and-take session, leaving you with practical lesson ideas for next year. Learn how to introduce an app, teach students to use it independently, and when to incorporate technology into your day.

Once you have your Google Classroom set up, where do you go next? Learn about designing lessons for a Chromebook Classroom. We'll really dive deep into the Google Apps, including Docs, Slides, and Drawings. As well as, look at some web 2.0 tools available to students. We want students to be creative, collaborative, critical thinkers, and communicators with Chromebooks.

As TSC transitions to a new platform for its school websites, teachers will have new options for creating a teacher/classroom webpage. This session will introduce teachers to the new platform and they will receive guidance on how to go about developing their page. While teacher webpages built in SMART will be disabled for public-view in July, teachers will still have access to their page and files throughout the transition. Teacher webpages will not be automatically transferred to the new platform.

Leverage the power of video with tools like YouTube playlists and EdPuzzle. Most of our time will be spent learning and exploring the power of EdPuzzle in the classroom. With this web 2.0 tool, teachers can check for understanding throughout a video with embedded questions, notes, and pictures. Final products can be pushed to Google Classroom or embedded on Canvas.

MasteryPaths: So you've heard of MasteryPaths, but how can you design modules to leverage their power? Learn about elements of MasteryPaths, as well as, designing self-paced modules for student success!
Google Integration: We'll focus on Cloud Assignments and how we can use Google Apps to create templates for students.
