Students will bring home a behavior/homework sheet each week. They will receive a stamp for the day if there is nothing significant to write home about.
Fix-It Tickets
If a rule is broken, students will be bringing home a “Fix-It Ticket” that explains what rule they broke. It needs to be completed at home and returned the next day. These will be sent home for major offenses (such as physical violence, bullying, name calling) or recurring offenses (being asked more than once to follow directions, stop talking, completing work, etc.).
They will also be sent home if a student has a pay $1 for something but is out of money.
We will also be using a mini economy in our classroom.
Students will receive $1 each day when I check to see that their behavior sheet is signed.
They can also earn money for great behavior, turning in homework, etc.
Students will lose money for minor offenses that don’t need a “Fix-It Ticket,” such as not putting their name on their paper, not turning in their work, or first-time offenses.
Students will be able to purchase various items every other week, such as homework passes, special seat passes, extra recess time, or small physical items (candy/toys).
Our classroom will also have a whole class incentive each month where they can earn special prizes for perfect attendance, everyone turning in their homework, excellent behavior when a substitute is in the room, compliments from specials teachers, great teamwork, etc.
