Discipline Policy

In our classroom we have 4 guidelines:

• Be responsible

• Be respectful

• Be safe

• Be Kind

Positive reinforcement:

• use of mini-economy and using earned money to purchase items from our class store.

• earning special tickets, including cabin tickets to read in our class cabin. Other tickets include stuffed animal pass, lumch with a friend, tech break, etc.

• End of the year pizza & ice cream party

Consequences:

• 1st time- verbal warning

• 2nd time- Student uses a visual to "clip down". If it stays down and behavior doesn't improve, they lose one recess (i.e. walking outside or continuing on classroom work)

• 3rd time- Fill out behavior sheet during recess to be signed by a parent

• 4th time- Office visit or call home
