Behavior Expectations:
All Klondike students are expected to follow the Golden Rules. Each teacher has a clipboard that travels with the class to all areas of the building. When students are not following our school rules it will be recorded on the clipboard. Students are usually given verbal warnings first, unless it is a serious offense such as fighting, racial slurs, or cussing. Behavior not meeting our Golden Rules will be recorded daily in the student's assignment book for parents to check.
Students with 2 or more behavior issues for a day will receive an email or note home to let parents know about the behaviors.
Students with 5 or more corrections for the day can lead to an Office Discipline Referral.
Note that some behaviors require automatic office referrals such as if students are fighting, showing physical aggression intending to harm others, bullying, physical, verbal, or sexual harassment of another student, including cussing or racial slurs, or if drugs/alcohol/weapons are involved.
