Homework and work done in class are important aspects in helping students not only master skills but also build their confidence and responsibility! My goal is to give students enough time in class to complete any assigned work and to ask questions. If your student brings work home that takes more than 20 - 30 minutes to complete, please attach a note, and I will work with your student during independent work time!
No homework on Fridays! :)
I will not issue homework on Fridays as I believe students should be able to use the weekends to reset, recharge, and spend time with family and friends.
Homework Expectations:
Homework is expected to be complete, with the name at the top, on the day it is due.
All homework is expected to be turned in every morning before we begin our day.
Any uncompleted work may result in the loss of incentives. (Ex: Student will have to finish work during independent time).
Many assignments will be marked as a completion grade.
*Students will be given the opportunity to fix/correct assignments that result in a 70% or below. Homework is used to help build on skills and master them! Students will also be given opportunities to correct any incorrect questions on Tests/Quizzes regardless of the percentage given. All corrections will be graded using an average.*
