Mrs. Bornino also wanted to send a reminder to students that they should be wearing gym attire and shoes on our PE day-Mondays

This week we are finishing up any makeups for ILEARN. We will also be finishing up other tests: IREADY math diagnostic, STAR-AR, and Next Steps. For the next two weeks students will be in groups researching famous Indiana people/events, developing characters, writing scripts, and performing them for first grade.

Please note the change in date for the book fair. It is now on MONDAY, May 13th at 12:40 PM. The Voices Of Gold concert moved times during our previous time for the book fair. 

Students have done absolutely amazing with their stamina for ILEARN. I couldn't be more proud of them! A huge thank you to anyone who blessed us with drinks and snacks! They enjoyed them after all of their hard work. They also earned another bingo-this time they voted on an ice cream/root beer float party. I'm planning that the last week of school as these next two weeks have already filled up quickly. They are working on a double bingo, so that they can earn a movie as well. I will send out more information/signup genius if anyone is willing to donate ice cream toppings. I can supply the ice cream. 

As I reflect on this year, I cannot believe how much the students have grown as people, matured, and further grown as a class. I'm blown away by their academic achievement, but I'm soooo proud of who they are as people. They are a special group! I'm not sure I'm ready to give them up. :) I'm so excited to have a great last few weeks with them that will be so much fun!  I will  be posting pictures of all of our fun things on class tag. It's been such a privilege to have them for my first class at Klondike. Thank you for allowing me to partner with you in your child's education this year. I could not have asked for a better group!
