Class Dojo is used as our communication throughout the year, and to implement my reward system.
Here is the link to join our class on Class Dojo: https://www.classdojo.com/ul/p/addKid?target=class&class=CJ6EGSM
I use Class Dojo to encourage positive behavior, effort, and personal growth. Students can earn points for things like showing responsibility, staying focused, being kind, completing their classroom job, working well with others, and perservering. Points are used to recognize progress and positive choices that students make each day.
As students earn points, they’ll have the chance to trade them in for small prizes or classroom privileges. Students can spend their points to earn prizes, or work as a class to buy a class surprise.
My goal is to use these points to reward positive behavior, but the following cases are examples of ways students will lose points in order to hold them accountable to our classroom expectations.
Late or missing work
Not completing their classroom job
Not following procedures
Talking out after being warned
Disrespect
