Homework Policy: I strongly believe in the power of play and the importance of letting children be children. I believe that when students give us all of their day, they deserve to have most of their night. Eat dinner as a family and ask them how their day was, enjoy your child's extracurricular activities without worrying about too much homework, and know that your child is working hard at school each day and has earned their evening playtime! They will have time to complete some homework during the school day throughout the week.
I know students need some extra practice and some students want the extra practice, therefore I will be sending home a weekly packet. Each student will be required to complete the choices throughout the week. It will have our weekly math skills, spelling practice, vocab and reading every week. It will be up to you and your child when you choose to complete the activities, as long as it is turned in by Friday.
Please note: If a student exhibits off-task behaviors during the school day and fails to complete an assignment, the assignment will be sent home for completion.
