Teaching is truly a joy. 😊 This will be my 19th year teaching. I am so happy to be a Burnett Creek Bobcat!😺 Prior to teaching at Burnett Creek, I was at Wea Ridge Elementary. I have taught all grades kindergarten - 3rd, including the 2/3 high ability. I am delighted to return to 2nd grade, where I've had the majority of my teaching experience.

I grew up in Lafayette and graduated from McCutcheon High School. I received my Bachelor's degree from Purdue University. I completed my Master's degree through Indiana Wesleyan University.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Elmer. 💜 He is an engineer at Subaru. In 2023, we celebrated 28 years together. We have two sons, Andrew (27) and Adam (24). Both of my boys are, of course, redheads, just like me! I enjoy reading 📚, traveling 🛫, spending time with my family 💖, and cheering on the Colts 🏈 and Cubs ⚾.

In our leisure time, my family loves attending football games - especially college football games. We also enjoy playing games (pretty much any kind) together. We have a full closet of board games and card games for anyone's enjoyment. Watching movies is a favorite in our house as well. Don't be surprised if you find me quoting movie or TV shows. It slips into my daily conversation, even knowing others might not know the context of what I'm talking about.

Allergies: I am gluten intolerant. I also limit sugar and some dairy.
