Teaching is truly a joy. 😊 This will be my 22nd year teaching. I am so happy to be a Burnett Creek Bobcat!😺 This will be my 5th year at Burnett Creek. Prior to teaching at Burnett Creek, I was at Wea Ridge Elementary. I have taught all grades kindergarten - 3rd, including the 2/3 high ability. I am delighted to be teaching 2nd grade, where I've had the majority of my teaching experience.

I grew up in Lafayette and graduated from McCutcheon High School. I received my Bachelor's degree from Purdue University. I completed my Master's degree through Indiana Wesleyan University.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Elmer. 💜 He is an engineer at Subaru. In March, we celebrated 31 years together. We have two sons, Andrew (30) and Adam (27). Both of my boys are, of course, redheads, just like me! I enjoy reading 📚, traveling 🛫, spending time with my family 💖, and cheering on the Colts 🏈 and Cubs ⚾.

In our leisure time, my family loves attending football games - especially college football games. We also enjoy playing games (pretty much any kind) together. We have a full closet of board games, card games, and puzzles for anyone's enjoyment. Watching movies is a favorite in our house as well. Don't be surprised if you find me quoting movies or TV shows. It slips into my daily conversation, with me thinking everyone will know the context of what I'm talking about.

Lastly, we enjoy traveling. We take at least one trip per year, even if it's just my husband and me. This has deeply enriched our lives and allowed us to see life from other perspectives.

Color: Purple , but I love black and white accents
Sweet Snack: Sweet Revolutions bakery is my favorite! Gluten free and sugar free/Keto friendly treats
Allergies: I am gluten intolerant. I also limit sugar intake.
