I'm excited to be starting my twentieth year of teaching special education and my thirteenth year (lucky thirteen!) at Mintonye! Every year has included co-teaching in a regular classroom. This year is no exception. I am passionate about meeting the needs of our students in their classroom with their classmates.

Before teaching, I was a family counselor working in a runaway shelter. I also subbed for teachers from kindergarten to high school for ten years. I have to say, I love working with kids and teaching!

     Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have four children, ages 23 to 37, and three grandsons (2 1/2, 2 1/2, and 6 years old). We have fun camping, watching movies, and just laughing while spending time together. Our dogs are another important part of our lives. We take them everywhere we can!
