Reading: Grade based upon participation during Reading Workshop and guided reading groups, oral reading,
tests, quizzes, vocabulary work, book presentations, comprehension strategies, and Accelerated Reader quizzes.
Language Arts: (Grammar, Writing, Spelling): Grade based upon daily assignments, quizzes, tests,
participation during Writing Workshop, writing projects, spelling practice and tests, and class participation.
Math: Grade based upon daily assignments, quizzes, tests, class participation, and problem solving activities.
Social Studies: Grade based upon worksheets, tests, daily assignments, special projects, class participation
and other activities.
Science: Grade based upon daily assignments, worksheets, science labs/activities, class participation, and tests.
Health and Wellness: Grade based upon daily assignments, worksheets, class participation, and quizzes.

The Tippecanoe School Corporation grading scale will be used in all content areas. It is as follows:
100-90% A 69-60% D
89-80% B 59%- ↓ F
79-70% C
Parents and students should expect approximately 30-40 minutes of homework each night during the school week.
At times, projects will be assigned for students to complete over an extended period of time.
Parents and students will be notified of the due date for a project well in advance.
