Hello! My name is Lissa McKinnis and I am the Music teacher at Klondike Elementary. I love playing instruments, singing, moving, listening to, and creating music with children. This will be my 16th year of teaching in TSC, and my ninth year at Klondike. I have also taught Music Methods to elementary education majors at Purdue University as well as private flute lessons and preschool music.
When I'm not teaching music, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on runs and walks outside, playing pickleball and cheering on my kids in all of their activities. I have three children: a daughter at Purdue University, a son at Harrison High School, and another son at Klondike Middle School.
I have the joy of teaching all of our Klondike Elementary students and truly believe music is for everyone. Thank you for the joy of sharing music with your children.
