Grading Policy

Students will receive letter grades for the subjects of Reading, Grammar, Spelling, Writing, Math, Science, Health, and Social Studies this year. Work coming home that has received a percentage and/or letter grade has been recorded for your child’s report card grade. Other work in class which we have just checked together will not have a percentage or letter grade on it and will not be included in your child’s report card grade. The grading scale for the TSC is shown below.

100% - A+

94-99% - A

90-93% - A-

88-89% - B+

84-87% - B

80-83% - B-

78-79% - C+

74-77% - C

70-73% - C-

68-69% - D+

64-67% - D

60-63% - D-

59% and lower - F

Homework Policy

Homework Monday - Thursday:

1. Weekly fluency passage

2. Math worksheet

*If the nightly homework is not complete, your student will be required to complete it during their extra recess time in the afternoon.

Homework Friday - Sunday:

There will be NO weekend homework as I believe that this is important time to spend with family and just being a kid!

However, if a student is struggling in an area, I will be in contact with you and may send additional work home for practice. Also, students may have additional homework that is sent home if they fall behind on their work in class and are not using their time wisely. If this happens, I will contact you before this work is sent home.
