CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT
Positive Behavior Plan
Klondike Elementary School students and staff are expected to follow
THE GOLDEN RULES
*WE ARE RESPONSIBLE!
*WE ARE COOPERATIVE!
*WE ARE RESPECTFUL!
*WE DO WHAT IS RIGHT! INTEGRITY
*WE DO OUR BEST! PERSEVERANCE
These expectations are taught and modeled to the students at Klondike. I will keep track each day of your child's behavior in the classroom, lunch, recess, and during special classes. The teachers use this information to see if any behavior expectations need extra instruction.
POSITIVE REWARDS!!
Our classroom will have a behavior economy system. Each day your student will have a reward system to earn "Bruce Bucks". If your child is doing the right thing and following The Golden Rules, they have the opportunity to earn "Bruce Bucks". The "Bruce Bucks" can be earned for random acts of kindness, modeling positive behavior, completing their weekly homework, getting a class compliment, etc. The children will collect their "Bruce Bucks" and will turn them in once a month for a variety of prizes and rewards to choose from. We will also have a weekly classroom Nugget Award Winner!!
If a student does not follow the KES expectations, it will be recorded as a "Correction". Students with 5 or more corrections for the day can lead to an office referral.
