My name is Kimberly Sherman, but I also go by Kim, Kimmy, Kimbo, or just about anything with "Kim" in it! I grew up in Fishers, Indiana, and attended Purdue University, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. During my time at Purdue, I fell in love with the West Lafayette community and had the opportunity to complete my student teaching in Mrs. Puetz's classroom at Burnett Creek. I loved every second of the experience, and I'm so excited to be starting my third year of teaching!
Teaching has always been my dream. My mom, grandma, and aunt were all teachers, and they inspired me to follow the same path. I've always loved working with children, whether as a camp counselor, nanny, or now as a classroom teacher. There is truly no place I'd rather be than in the classroom!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy traveling, baking, reading, and relaxing with Netflix and my two cats. I am so excited for the year ahead and can't wait to get to know your family and help your child learn, grow, and build confidence throughout first grade!
