Hello! My name is Kristen (Burger) Maynard, and I am incredibly excited to see what we can learn and do together this school year.
I am originally from southern Indiana, about 30 minutes from Louisville, KY but fell in love with the area throughout my four years at Purdue – so much so that I decided to stick around a while longer! My husband, Jason, and I live in Lafayette with our three cats, Ovi, Finn, and Lillian! I have two degrees from Purdue: a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a Master of Science in curriculum and instruction. I love learning how to help your kiddos learn!
My interests are vast and a little bit of everywhere, but I love traveling, being with my family and friends, Disney, Eric Carle books, sports, and all things Purdue!

In 2019, I got to teach in Tanzania and Kenya on a study abroad trip. Here, I'm on a safari vehicle in Tanzania during the wildebeest migration!
Even though they live in southern Indiana, I love talking on the phone and visiting my family often! Here, my mom, dad, brother, uncle, and I are right by the Bell Tower on campus after I graduated from Purdue in 2020. Boiler Up!
My husband, Jason, and I love exploring new places together! Here, we are in North Carolina visiting the Biltmore Estate.
