Your child will be graded individually based on his/her IEP goals, objectives and programming. These grading decisions will be be made in the IEP meeting. If your student is receiving direct instruction in the resource room for core subjects such as writing, math and reading, he/she will receive grades within the resource room setting and not from the general education teacher.
Gradebook Categories- The following categories will be assigned in the grade book. Each category is weighted equally in the final grade.
- Homework-Any assignments completed at home including AR Reading, Spelling Practice, Edmark words, etc. All assignments will be worth 10 points.
- Projects-Projects will be assigned throughout the grading period. These often will go along with our News To You topic. Projects will be worth 100 points.
- Quizzes-Graded in class work will be entered in the quiz category. Quizzes will be between 10 and 100 points determined by length of assignment.
- Tests-Spelling tests, AR tests, LLI Running Records, and Math cumulative reviews will be counted in the test category. All tests will be worth 100 points.
