In each school and school corporation, Multilingual Education looks a little different. At BCE, we offer pull out ELL services as well as push in services at times.Â
Students are identified based on the Home Language Survey their parents fill out at registration. When language's other than English are listed, students are put into a screening process, where their English proficiency is evaluated, using the WIDA screener test. If students are found to be eligible for services, they are placed in groupings based on their English proficiency level and are pulled into the ML classroom 2 -3 times per week to receive extra language support.
