About Me

I am so excited to be your child's "speech teacher" (also known as speech-language pathologist). I have been working with GLASS since 2006 and have been assigned to Dayton Elementary since 2014. Cole Elementary is new to me this year and I'm excited to join the Cub Family. I love both schools for their sense of community! I like all aspects of being a speech language pathologist, but especially like the challenge of speech sound disorders.

Before my life of becoming an SLP I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science at Purdue. I was in the Air Force Reserves as an Information Manager, and also worked a few years as a receptionist in both human medicine and veterinary medicine. I returned to school and earned my Masters Degree in Communication Disorders in 2005.

My husband and I live in rural Clinton County on a small farm. We have a huge pond for swimming and fishing and a small herd of Belted Galloway cows. My husband, John, is a veterinarian in Rossville. Allison, our older daughter, is an elementary school teacher in South Carolina. Sarah is attending Veterinary School at St George's University in Grenada, West Indies - her dad's alma mater.

We have three dogs: Ella a black lab mix, Daisy a terrier/pug mix, and Scooter a dachshund. We also have a cat named Mr. Darcy. My daughter's blind cat Percy is also living with us too.
