Principles of Digital Design

This class includes organized learning experiences that incorporate a variety of visual art techniques as they relate to the design and execution of layouts and illustration for advertising, displays, promotional materials, and instructional manuals. Instruction also covers advertising theory and preparation of copy, lettering, posters, and artwork in addition to incorporation of photographic images. Communication skills will be emphasized through the study of effective methods used to design commercial products that impart information and ideas.

Students will use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign software to produce their work. Advanced instruction might also include experiences in screen printing, dye sublimation, pre-press and post-press activities.

**This class will also be given for Dual Credit thru Vincennes University DESN 140 Computer imaging. Students in grades 10,11 and 12 will be able to receive 3 FREE college credits.
