Your child’s Take Home Folder is a communication device between home and school. It will house important information such as school notes, spelling/vocabulary lists, graded work, behavior chart, and classroom newsletters. Please sign or initial on the appropriate date on the behavior calendar each day. This will communicate to me that you saw all the information in your child’s folder that day. This folder is brought home every day and is to be returned to school the very next day. Any notes from home, school forms, doctors notes, etc. should be placed in your child’s Take Home Folder.
The behavior plan is created where students can show growth each day on a clip chart. Each student has the ability to move up or down on the chart multiple times throughout the day. If a child is making poor choices, they will have many opportunities to improve their behavior and move up on the chart.
Please check your child's Take Home Folder each night and look over their behavior calendar. Your child's behavior calendar will have a colored square for that day to give you and idea of how they behaved in class that day. The calendar MUST be initialed every night! It will be checked every morning at school. If you have any questions regarding the Behavior Plan, please contact me. Below is a description of our Behavior Plan, and what each color represents on our chart.
