Mrs Rodriguez’s Classroom Expectations

My classroom  management plan is a positive behavior support system and is based on three concepts…Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. 

Our three class rules are simple…Work Hard, Be Kind, Speak Softly.

To encourage positive behavior, I use a “ticket” system. I will pay students for various things. They could earn a ticket for doing the right thing, giving a great answer or comment, doing something for someone else, etc. 

Students will also have to pay me for not doing what is asked; missing homework, talking at an inappropriate time, etc. The first time I take a ticket it’s a warning. Additional tickets paid to me will result in time off recess. If students do not have a ticket they immediately lose recess time.

Students can collect tickets and then redeem them for prizes such as using the teacher’s chair, candy, lunch in the classroom, bring in a snack, etc.
