Rule #1: Follow directions quickly.
Rule #2: Use hand signals (group participation, restroom, water, help, etc).
Rule #3: Stay on task.
Rule #4: Make smart choices with your actions and your words.

We will spend a lot of time learning, practicing, and building our stamina with classroom procedures and expectations.
Positive Choices: Students will receive positive feedback to recognize their good choices; positive notes home, earned privileges, etc. Get caught being good!
Consequences:
Redirection (student places card with visual reminder of correct behavior as a reminder on their desk)
Sideline (timeout in 'Calm Corner' of classroom, opportunity for student to use strategies we've practice to reset and rejoin class when they are ready)
Break time (depending on situation, student may need a break outside of the classroom with additional adult support)
4. Letter home (informs parent of behavior, to be signed and returned following day)
*If your child is struggling to make good choices, I will contact you and we will come up with a plan to help your child! We are in this together!
Today I will do the right thing and treat people right.
I will strive to be the best I can be.
I am proud to be a student at Wyandotte Elementary.
