WELCOME

Welcome to Fourth Grade! I am very excited to have you as a part of my classroom this year. My name is Brooke Rooze and I will be your teacher this year in Room 35.

For those that do not know, my classroom theme is the 4th Grade County Fair, which portrays the agriculture side of Indiana. I was a 10 year 4-H member and a county fair queen, therefore 4-H and the fair have always held a special place in my heart. I still help with the Benton County queen pageant every summer, which I love. I enjoy visiting other local fairs during the summer, seeing all the 4-Hers hard work, and eating delicious fair food.

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate of Purdue University where I majored in Elementary and Special Education. This will be my 10th year of teaching. I am ready to continue learning and growing with my students this year. I look forward to meeting all of my students this year.

I grew up about 40 minutes northwest of West Lafayette in Benton County on a family farm with my dad, mom, and older sister. I am married to my husband, Court. He works in Fowler as a Loan Officer. We have a beautiful five year old daughter, Brielle, a rambuctious two year old son, Noah, and an adorable cat, Tabby.

My dad is a hard-working farmer and my mom is a retired elementary school teacher. My older sister is a Civil Engineer that lives in Noblesville with her husband. She is three and a half years older than me, but we are often mistaken for twins. I grew up in a large extended family, with over twenty first cousins on each side. My friends and family are an important part of my life. When I am not at school, odds are I am making memories with them. If I have free time I love listening to audio books, puzzling, watching movies and tv shows, or hanging out at the lake, by a pool, or at the beach.

I believe that kids learn best when parents, teachers, and students work together. I will always have your child’s best interests at heart, and look forward to working with you throughout the school year. Communication is key, so if you need anything, please let me know!

I am looking forward to an exciting year full of learning, laughs, and making memories that will last a lifetime at the 4th Grade County Fair!
