All About Miss Carter!

My name is Abbie Carter. This is my second year teaching kindergarten and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I recently graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. 

I am from Brookston, IN and attended Frontier School Corporation K-12. I am the youngest of four in my family with one brother and two sisters, one of which has blessed me with three nieces that have been my greatest inspiration for becoming a teacher! I have grown up in a large family with many younger cousins who I have loved interacting with. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to go into a career where I work with children and create an impact on their lives like many have left on mine.

Our classroom will be run in a way that puts the individual needs of each student first. I plan to do this through differentiated grouping that meets students at their individual level so everyone is able to grow and learn at the speed they are ready for. I will do everything that I can to make it a positive, safe, and memorable experience for your kindergarten child. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and getting to know your family!
