“A” work = 90-100% = Mastery
“B” work = 80-89% = Approaching Mastery
“C” work = 70-79% = Developing Mastery
“D” work = 60-69% = Needs Time to Master
“F” work = 59% and below = Needs Time to Master
NOTE: Social Studies, Science, and Health will be graded based on 1st grade standards, participation and completion of assigned projects.
A= Participate, complete projects, and fulfill standards
C= If they participate in class, but do not complete projects
F= If none of the above areas are fulfilled
Please Note: As long as an assignment is attempted, I do not enter grades below a 50% into the grade book. Any assignment that a student earns less than 50% will be entered as a 50%. By doing this, students have the opportunity to improve their grade, and their overall grade is not as affected by one low score. If a child refuses to complete an assignment, it will be entered in the gradebook as a 0%.
