In the elementary grades, students apply the rigor of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics content and the STEM Standards of Practice while engaged in learning activities that investigate the natural world. Learning is collaborative and project-based; kids work closely together in a hands-on way to solve real-world problems.
The STEM Mission of Magnolia Elementary is to inspire curiosity, nurture creativity, build a spirit of entrepreneurship, challenge critical thinking, and develop a life-long love of learning within its close knit family of enthusiastic students, teachers, and staff who persevere through setbacks. We are driven to serve our neighborhood community, and beyond, by developing as problem solvers, building a better tomorrow, through innovation, reflection and ongoing improvement on our daily learning journey.
The STEM Vision of Magnolia Elementary Learning community is to serve as a central hub for all stakeholders to maximize their potential, using a sustainable approach for student, family, and community outreach through authentic STEM inspired learning opportunities available to neighborhood residents, during and outside of school hours.
