Why Join Band?

There are so many wonderful reasons to join the HTMS Band. Students in band experience the accomplishment and excitement of learning to play an instrument. The joy of making music with friends is like nothing else! Our students work hard and have fun making great music at HTMS. The band is the largest group on the HTMS campus. Our students are multi-talented: Band students also participate in just about every other group at the school including cheerleading, math team, football, dance team, Scholar's Bowl, and track. The Hewitt Band has a tradition of excellence that few bands can claim, receiving multiple national awards and invitations to perform at prestigious events. Our goal is to make every year better than the last, while having a blast making music.
