After-School Program (ASP)
Smythe's After-School Programs are FREE and designed to provide long-term support for families needing daily care. The program will run every school day until the last day of the academic year, offering a safe and engaging environment for students after school hours.
Program Highlights:
Open to all students (space permitting).
Offer homework assistance, social-emotional support, physical activities, arts & crafts and follow the California Expanded Learning Quality Standards
Students enrolled in ASP can also participate in our enrichment programs, including clubs and activities, ensuring a well-rounded and exciting experience.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLUBS
After-School Enrichment Programs
Smythe's After-School Enrichment Programs are short-term and offered throughout the year. These programs are not daily but run on an 8-week rotation, providing flexibility and variety for students.
Each session brings new activities and opportunities for students to learn, grow, and have fun after the school day ends. Typically these clubs will end at 4:00 pm.

The Board Game Club is a fun and interactive club for 3rd and 4th grade students who enjoy friendly competition and strategic thinking. In this club, students will explore a variety of board games, from classic games like Monopoly and Scrabble to new, exciting challenges. They'll work on skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making while having a great time with their peers. The Board Game Club encourages critical thinking, communication, and creativity, all while fostering a sense of community and fun!

The Art Exploration Club is a creative and exciting club for 1st to 3rd grade students who love to explore through art! In this club, young artists will embark on a journey of discovery as they create vibrant art projects inspired by the beauty of the season. Whether it’s painting blooming flowers, crafting fluttering butterflies, or designing imaginative scenes, kids will have the chance to experiment with different materials like crayons, markers, pastels, and paints. Through fun activities and new techniques, students will develop their creativity and fine motor skills, all while celebrating the joyful colors and themes of spring!

The Little Picassos Club is a creative and exciting club for TK to 1st-grade students who love to explore through art! In this club, our young artists will create vibrant and fun art projects inspired by the wonder of their world. They'll experiment with a variety of art materials like crayons, markers, and watercolors while learning simple techniques and expressing their creativity. The Little Picassos Club helps little artists develop their imagination and fine motor skills, all while celebrating the joyful colors and themes that make art so magical!

The Sewing Club is a creative and exciting club for 6th-grade students who love to explore through fabric and design! In this club, young sewists will dive into the world of sewing, learning essential techniques—from hand stitching to basic machine sewing. They'll experiment with vibrant fabrics and colorful threads to create unique projects like custom accessories, tote bags, and decorative home items. Through hands-on projects, students will not only enhance their creative vision and fine motor skills but also gain practical skills in design and construction. The Drumming Club offers students the opportunity to develop skills, from basic rhythms to advanced techniques, in a supportive and creative environment. It provides access to various drumming styles, performance opportunities, and a community for collaboration and personal growth.

The Ballet Folklórico Club is a vibrant and cultural club for 3rd to 6th grade students who are passionate about dance and celebrating traditions! In this club, students will learn traditional Ballet Folklórico dances from various Mexican regions, practicing graceful movements, footwork, and the rich history behind each dance. They'll work together to perfect choreographies, build teamwork, and express themselves through music and movement. The Ballet Folklórico Club fosters appreciation for cultural heritage, discipline, and artistic expression while giving students the opportunity to perform and share the beauty of these dances with others!
