Your mission:
Your task is to complete work on Khan Academy, and Get Ready for next year! On average, your goal should be to try and complete about an hour per week, and try to earn as many mastery points as you can. Make sure you complete the course for the grade you will be entering in the fall.
Important Note: It is suggested that students work for approximately an hour per week in the Get Ready course, but it is NOT REQUIRED that students finish the course. The goal is to acquire as many mastery points as possible- it is okay if the entire course does not get completed. Students will continue working on the course when they return to school.
Advanced math courses do have specified units that we are asking you to complete over the summer- please refer to the lists linked below.
Directions:
Log into your Khan Academy account. Be sure to sign in with your school linked Google account.
*See the "Creating an Account" page for directions if you don't have one*
Under "Courses" (in the top right), choose the "Get Ready" course for the grade/course you are entering next school year. Scroll to the bottom and take the Course Mastery Challenge. This will set up your work based on your results.
Earn Mastery Points on Khan Academy by completing "Get Ready" tasks.
All Grade 6 Students entering Mathematics 6:
Get Ready for Grade 6 (earn up to 6,000 mastery points!)

Get Ready for Grade 7 (earn up to 6,300 mastery points!)

Grade 8 Geometry:
Honors Geometry Summer Math Packet
Please print and complete the summer review for Honors Geometry. This will be a mandatory grade, with an assessment to follow when you return to school.
You may/should use Khan Academy to help you complete the summer packet, as well as continue the Get Ready for Geometry course to help you prepare.

You will also add your new teacher as your coach on Khan Academy so we could see all the great work that you accomplished over the summer!! This counts as a grade.
