When given Measure of Transportation and Year, the intention is that this CART model could potentially rightly predict the total number of border crossing in that year using that means of transport.
The graphical output of Multiple Regression Model is shown below.
The Multiple Regression model predicts an overall decreasing trend in the number of people coming into the US by each means of Transportation.
To evaluate the model, residuals are plotted. They show patterns.
The residual do show significant pattern and are scattered around. The model doesn't fit the data well. Finding the best model for the data is up fis something we could investigate in the future.or future investigation.
