Technical Mathematics 1A

Technical Mathematics 1A

Course Description/Program Outcomes:  Students will be able to solve problems that involve linear equations; graphs; percent; proportions; measurement systems; computational geometry; and right triangle trigonometry.  Emphasis will be placed on the application of skills to technical problems.

Students have the option to earn both high school math credit AND 3 technical college credits because they will take a course taught by a high school instructor where a “Transcripted Credit Articulation Agreement” exists for the course between the high school and technical college. Students must earn a letter grade of A, B, or C on LTC’s grading scale in order to earn college credit for the course. All students taking a transcripted credit class will have an LTC transcript.
