I'm a Maker. How Can I Participate in Makerfest?

Our Makers make Makerfest... magnificent! (Try saying that three times fast.) We've had an incredible variety of over 250 individuals and organizations in the past three years who've shared their imaginations, products, missions, and activities, delighting and enlightening attendees in myriad ways. In our experience, the best way to get people to know about you is to engage them in doing what you do!

We keep a very open mind to what making is and are always interested in new ideas, but we only select those who a) are aligned with our vision and b) can develop a great maker activity to share. If that's you, apply below and let's talk!

Can I Sell Stuff?

As you read in our vision statement, JSMF is not a trade show or exhibit hall. For the first two years, we were adamant that no such transactions took place at the fest. That didn't mean that literature couldn't be handed out to allow attendees to contact makers for sales outside the fest. 99% of our past makers were not making any direct sales. However, based on "consumer feedback," we have grown more open to some consumer interactions, provided there was still a hands-on component within the maker concept. If you would like us to consider that, please let us know so we can discuss a plan.

All registered makers will be contacted by phone and a follow up email will go out October 9 with logistics for your arrival, set up, and presence/schedule (depending on what you are doing that day), including a temporary parking pass if you have much to unload (good 8-10 AM). We will continue to monitor our email almost hourly, so any questions or thoughts, please write away!

To apply to speak, present, or have a booth/table at Makerfest 4.0 on October 20, 2018, mark your calendars and come back to this page beginning in March 2018.
