Jersey Shore Makerfest

The Largest Free Maker Event on the East Coast!

About the Jersey Shore Makerfest

THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE FIVE YEARS!

Started in October 2015 by two lifelong educators, the JSMF has been an experimental, experiential, educational, and non-profit annual community event. It's been described in the press as a "free-wheeling celebration of creativity and imagination" that's "equal parts MythBusters, science lab, county fair, and art studio." What began as 50 maker tables in a single room evolved into six indoor and outdoor spaces with over 100 maker booths and workshops, a drone/RC field, a motivational "EdTalks" digital TV studio, competitive and instructional robotics arenas, and the annual town Green Fair. Traditional skills frolicked with modern high tech as participants tried their hands at soldering, programming, woodworking, 3D printing, laser cutting, robotics, electronics, engineering design, home repair, and more. Over 400 makers, both big and small, and 14,000 attendees, young and old, joined us over these five years. And we are especially proud to say that it's been free for all, thanks to a cadre of incredible sponsors and volunteers.
