Daily Starters

  2. Each day there will be a daily starter on the board. The daily starters are relevant to what we are learning for that unit.

  3. Daily starters can be done on the same sheet of paper as previous days. Just make sure that you date them.

  4. Your daily starters will sometimes be graded so make sure that you keep up with them for each unit.

Raise Your Hand

  1. Always ask for permission to get out of your seat. To throw away trash, sharpen your pencil, etc. You should never be out of your seat without permission from the teacher.

  2. When answering question always raise your hand first. Respect towards your classmates is always important and raising your hand prevents answering out of turn or interrupting your classmates.

Bathroom Procedures

  1. Students should utilize their time in between classes to go to the restroom.

  2. Students will not be allowed to go during instructional time unless it is an emergency or he/she has a doctors note.

Makeup Assignments

  1. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to get the assignment/work they missed or copy down any missed notes/work. If a handout was given, a copy will be placed in the "Missing Work" chart. It is the student’s responsibility to ask about any work/assignment they missed. Students that miss a test or quiz must schedule a make-up time with me. Students will have 3 days to make-up work/tests for excused absences. Any work not completed or turned in will result in a ZERO! See CHMS Absence Policy for more information.
