Hello All,
I'm excited to lead the CHHS Theatre program. We will work hard this year - just as we did last year! I'm so proud of the work we are doing, and I'm excited about the future of the program! A little about me: I am from a small town called Stevenson, Al, which is about an hour northeast of Huntsville. I graduated from Troy University in 2020, with a B.S.E. in Theatre Education p-12. I made this decision because I'm passionate about performing arts, but I feel called to share this medium with those in the younger generation. I am an Irene Ryan Nominated (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival) actor. I have been in about eight mainstage and several second stage productions at Troy in my four years. I worked with the Johnson Center for the Arts here in Troy to assist with the inception of the Center Stagers program, an after school activities program for creative drama. I have completed two internships: one with TheatreWorks USA (NYC) and with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. I have worked on feature film and television productions as a utility stand-in and featured background actor for Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max. I'm excited to bring that experience to the classroom and to our production work. We want to present high quality shows for our audiences! This means going the extra mile with scenic construction, design, and polished performances. Each student in our program will be pushed to the max to be their best and give their best effort while growing and becoming better friends, neighbors, members of the community, and overall better people. I have very high expectations for the work we will do together! This will be one of the best production seasons (and school years) yet! Let's get started.
